The PFQD Series Four Quadrant AC Drive can simulate the required loading torque and feed regenerated energy from the drive system back to the grid through its active front end (AFE) unit. This makes it suitable for applications with frequent braking, including cranes, centrifuges, milling machines, motor mutual-towing, and wind tunnel test systems.
The PFQD series also uses advanced PWM rectification technology, with the product page specifying THDi ≤ 2.5%, together with a switching frequency control technology capable of reaching up to 1500 Hz output frequency.
