High-power agricultural electrification requires careful evaluation of traction controller architecture. This article compares discrete and integrated multi-in-one layouts, focusing on duty cycle, auxiliary loads, packaging, thermal management, interfaces, service, and system flexibility. An integrated controller can reduce harness complexity and combine multiple functions, while a discrete architecture may provide greater flexibility for customized machine designs. Using GTAKE M16 as a technical reference, the article provides an architecture decision framework to help OEMs evaluate the most suitable high-voltage control solution for their agricultural electrification projects.
